MR.DIY CSR: Upcycling: Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK.) Tanah Rata, Cameron Highland
MR.DIY partnered with Soroptimist International Damansara (SID) undertakes the sixth series of 2023 “Upcycle: Walk with Style” corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative held on 27th April, for 400 Orang Asli students from Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK.) Tanah Rata, Cameron Highland.
This programme is based on the “reuse principle” which reduces wastage and addresses sustainability.
The unused white school shoes were upcycled through arts and crafts into personalised shoes. The shoes were given new life with colors, patterns, and designs that showcase the creativity and artistic abilities of the children. This activity instill the children confidence that made each pair unique.
The "Walk With Style" program is a significant step towards creating a more sustainable future while educating the young generation on the need to recycle. MRDIYCares will continue to leverage its resources and work with communities to create positive and lasting change.
