MRDIYCares, continued its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by organizing the “Upcycle: Walk with Style” event at 1 Utama, Petaling Jaya. The event was a huge success, with over 100 pairs of unused white school shoes being upcycled into colorful designs by the participants.

The event was filled with excitement and cheer, as participants of all ages got creative with their shoe designs. The finished products were truly impressive, and it was clear that everyone had a great time participating in the event.

In addition to being a fun and creative activity, the “Upcycle: Walk with Style” event also had a positive impact on the environment. By upcycling the shoes, MRDIYCares was able to divert them from unused white school shoes and give them a new life.

In addition, the “Upcycle: Walk with Style” event aligns with UNSDG 12, which calls for responsible consumption and production. By upcycling shoes, MRDIYCares is helping to reduce waste and create a more sustainable future

The event also empowered the participants by giving them the opportunity to express their creativity and learn new skills. One of the 15 years old participant said, “I really enjoyed upcycling the shoes. It was a fun way to be creative and learn about sustainability. I would definitely recommend this event to others”.
