MR.DIY CSR: SEATRU - Save The Turtle
YAYASAN MR.DIY has generously supported the Sea Turtle Research Unit (SEATRU) of Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) with a mobile souvenir stall, stall signage, and sector signage. These contributed resources serve as interactive tools for SEATRU to engage with visitors and educate them about sea turtles and their ecosystems. Additionally, camping tents were also contributed to help address the limited sleeping quarters at the research site, enhancing the researchers' comfort during the night.
Furthermore, 20 dedicated volunteers from MR.DIY actively participated in SEATRU's turtle conservation efforts at Chagar Hutang, Pulau Redang, Terengganu. Their hands-on involvement allowed them to witness once-in-a-lifetime events, such as inspecting hatching turtle eggs and participating in beach patrols during turtle egg laying, highlighting the impact of this contribution to sea turtle conservation. This effort underscores a commitment to safeguarding these endangered species and their habitats.
