Procurement Manager (Non Trade)

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for non-trade goods and services (e.g., office supplies, IT equipment, marketing services, facilities management, professional services)
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in non-trade procurement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with company objectives
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, service, and reliability
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible value for the company
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster long-term partnerships
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier risks to ensure compliance with agreements and company standards
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for non-trade items, including requisition approval, purchase order creation, and goods/services receipt
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards
  • Manage and maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation
  • Track and report on procurement expenditures, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels
  • Continuously review and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Implement best practices and innovative procurement solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs
  • Utilize procurement software and tools to automate processes and improve data accuracy

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on non-trade items in a retail or similar industry. Experience in managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in procurement software and tools. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of procurement best practices, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with a focus on driving results and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities. Strong ethical standards and a commitment to transparency.
